Today, at 6 o'clock pm on the 1st of August, 2013, I officially announce the People's Party UK website open!
Finally, after a year of very slow progress, I have published the People's Party UK website, albeit incompletely.
The point of this website for me is threefold:
Firstly, it was a way to collectivise and make sense of my political thoughts. I quite often get debating current issues with my friends or family, spouting out my various solutions to various problems, so I decided it would be good to write them all down, perhaps for later consultation.
Secondly, it seemed to make sense to me that my mix of policies should take the form of a mock political party or manifesto. It also mixes with my dream of a real people's party taking the reins of our declining nation one day, steering us back to prosperity.
Thirdly, it is a way of getting feedback on my policies. I'm certainly no expert in the complicated works of politics or current affairs, though sometimes it seems an injection of simplicity and common sense would make things much better, so I like people to pick holes in my policies - the positive criticism is an effective way of developing them and moving forward, and I feel this idea could go places, though I doubt it'll be running the country anytime soon!
So anyway, the site is quite incomplete and may be for some time, but I am working on it! Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy looking around, and please send me your thoughts and feedback on the 'Contact Us' page, or if they are post related, comment below.
